Sunday Sermon Title:
“Washed By The Water Of The Word”
Note from the Pastor:
That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, (Ephesians 5:26 KJV)
Jesus loves His church! He wants it to be clean and without spot, wrinkle, or even a blemish. The Bible refers to the church as the Bride of Christ. A bride on her wedding day wants to be at her best. She wants everything on that day to be perfect. Everything will be washed, cleaned, and pressed in preparation of that glorious day. There is a lot of work that needs to be done before that day. The bride is not idle and lazy about that day, but she is excited and looking forward to that day when she can present herself as a beautiful bride to her lifelong companion.
The church needs to be ready for the coming of the groom! There is a wedding coming in our future. We need to make sure that everything is in order. The only way that we can be truly clean and prepared for that glorious day is to allow the Word of God to cleanse us and prepare us for that awesome day of Christ’s return!
Come and hear the Word of God and allow it to cleanse you and make you into the bride that Jesus is expecting! He loves you more than you will ever know and wants to spend forever with His love, the Church!
